Peekaboo Loop Trail

Bryce Canyon is one of the most beautiful places I have visited. The Peekaboo Loop Trail was the perfect hike for my first impression of Bryce, so open and full of beautiful hoodoos and natural arches, also known as windows.

This hike is a very difficult 4.8 mile loop. It does drop quickly to the canyon floor so expect a lot of steep climbs. Definitely make sure you take plenty of water. There is not a lot of shade and dogs are not aloud. The only two negatives with this hike. Otherwise, it is the most peaceful walk you will ever walk in your life!

Peekaboo Loop starts at Bryce point. I took The shuttle to the trail head because, well why not? It makes it easier to find. The best time to hike is April through October. Horseback riding is aloud. I definitely want to go back and go horseback riding on this trail because it was so amazingly beautiful.  I believe it will be so magical with a horse!

Rapid Elevation Gain: 1,558 ft.

I remember feeling refreshed and full of wonder. I honestly felt like I was going in circles because it just kept going and going but it was awesome! I did have to stop a couple of times and take a snack break. It was a very strenuous hike and I didn’t know what to expect. Another amazing adventure in the books!

Would I do It Again?

Heck yes! It was all so big and beautiful and every time I turned a corner there was another beautiful eroded sandstone hoodoo. Some cool views and I felt very refreshed and accomplished. Let me know if you decide to take on this amazing hike! I would love to hear about your experience.
